Need
He wants Mackenzie, longs for her.
In a heartbeat his world came crashing down.
Stopped.
His actions broke her trust, yet she’s the one paying the price.
Guilt suffocates him, he needs to fix this … fix them.

Or is the desire they were once consumed with fading?

Please Note: This is the 5th novella of the series and they do need to be read in order. Mature 18+ readers only. It contains explicit sex scenes including BDSM type scenarios.

My review: Why?! Why do you do this to us poor readers? This is the penultimate installment of the Eraser series and I must say, we’ve been kept on the wire.  Each installment is cleverly written to draw the reader in to the story, keep them there only to drop us at a cliffhanger at the end of each one.

The drama!  Mack and Sir drifted apart after Mack comes out of the hospital, Sir feels guilt for causing the accident that put Mack in the hospital in the first place.  Mack asks Sir to leave the hospital when she wakes up, understandably she’s pretty peeved off over the file – Sir on the other hand does not leave the hospital and instead sits outside her room a broken man.

Eventually he gets her back to his apartment to look after her while she recovers, there’s lots of confusion on both their parts – she thinks he doesn’t want her anymore, he thinks the same.  Despite this, things get sorted out and they get back into the swing of things.

I’ve said before I’m not a fan of a short build-up to romance but this one is a month maybe two? I’ve enjoyed the lead up – very unusual build-up to a relationship. To be fair its been an unusual series.

After a promise to keep no secrets, it appears that Sir has another one to tell and that’s where the installment ends.

I very much enjoyed Eraser Amber (Eraser #5) and I look forward to finishing the series and seeing where Mack and Sir’s story ends.

My rating: 4 stars
