I love K.A. Linde’s books. I randomly found her Off the Record series at the beginning of the year and I devoured it – I also now have my own copies that I got through the last Amazon sale. Diamonds was released earlier this year and I think it’s going to be different to the other work I’ve read of Linde’s but I’m still looking forward to it.
I’ve not actually watched an episode of Castle but the books looked good and so do the adverts for it. I decided I’d read Heat Wave, the first in a series of seven – they shouldn’t take me allt hat long to read though.
I’m also still reading The Lunatic Cafe by Laurell K. Hamilton.
I finished reading Dauntless! It was so good – I need to attempt to write the review for it at some stage but I found the main character John “Black Jack” Geary to be written incredibly well and I also enjoyed Captain Tanya Desjani as a character. The plot line was also very good and very steadily written with just the right amount of sci-fi and scientific balance – I find sometimes that sci-fi books I read are too scientific and it irritates me whereas Dauntless had the right balance.
I also finished a bunch of novellas as usual: Entwined by Colette Gale, The Prisoner by Rachael Wade, Lost into Oblivion by Jessica Wood, The Five Kisses by Karla Darcy, Soldier: A Mafia Romance by Liliana Rhodes, First Surrender by Katie Reus, Badass In My Bed: Badass #1 by Rae Lynn Blaise, The Waltz by Angelica Chase, Mad About Ivy by Margo Maguire and The Demon’s Bargain by Lisa Alder
What do I think I’ll read next?
I want to say that I’ll eventually get round to doing what I’ve said I’ll do for the past few weeks but the likelihood is not high but here’s hoping!
The Bourbon Kings by J.R. Ward I hope! It’s still top of the list but I’m reading loads of random books I’m picking out of my kindle. Considering the fact that it’s over 1500 strong I have plenty of choice!
I really really want to read Archangel’s Enigma by Nalini Singh but I also don’t want to because again, I don’t like waiting.
