Book Haul

Book Haul: 16th February 2016 *Birthday Edition*

Book Haul

As promised I come bearing a birthday book haul.  Technically I only got one of these books for my birthday but considering how I was royally spoiled over this past weekend for my birthday I’m taking them all into account!

All titles/images link back to their respective Goodreads page.

For those of you who don’t know, I’m from London and my home away from home is the Forbidden Planet Megastore in London, every time I’m in Central I go there even if I don’t buy anything (ahaha not going to happen). This Saturday I was taken into London to go to the British Museum for my birthday and as usual I went into Forbidden Planet for a nose.

I walked out with the greatest bargains I have ever found in there!

20160213_223119What started it all was Dark Bites by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I found the 20160213_223132newest printing on the top shelf and I was 100% going to buy it until I turned it over and found that it was damaged *boo* – my bubble burst. I carried on perusing the books in depression as the one book I wanted was damaged until I found the sale shelf.

I found the cover to the left brand spanking new for 99p! Not a scratch on it anywhere and I was gobsmacked that it was so cheap.  I saved £8 on this beauty and the cover is way nicer.

Next along the sale shelf was Cursed by Fire by Jacquelyn Frank. I’ve read Jacquelyn Frank’s work before and I loved it so it fitted that I’d find another I’d want and for 99p new as well.20160213_223451

I found Edge of Dawn by Lara Adrian for 99p on the same shelf – again it’s new. I’m missing a couple of these in paperback but they’re on my list to get eventually.

I found The Twisted Tragedy of Miss Natalie Stewart by Leanna Renee Hieber for 99p too on another sale shelf.  Unfortunately it is the second in the series and I don’t own the first in paperback but I really really liked the idea and the cover for this one. .

I also found on the sale shelf Darkfever, Bloodfever, Faefever and Dreamfever by Karen Marie Moning in mint condition for 99p each.

The first four of the Fever series!

I then found A Soldier’s Duty and An Officer’s Duty by Jean Johnson in the charity shop around the corner – both brand new and both for £2 each.  I spent a grand total of £11.92 on Saturday.20160213_222656

On my birthday I got aIMG_20160215_134052 signed edIMG_20160131_130450ition of The Bands of Mourning by Brandon Sanderson which I was hugely excited about last week. But yesterday I popped into a local Waterstones and found a hardback edition of Calamity by Brandon Sanderson – 3 days before release!!!!

I’d pre-ordered the paperback edition for delivery in November but I couldn’t resist snapping it up before it actually releases!

I now have no room on my Brandon Sanderson shelf 😦 but on the flip side it sure is looking purdy with 13 of 15 signed 😀
